Lighting makes this rim drive better in the afternoon. Spider Rock is the star, but all the other overlooks are great too. It is a must to stop at everyone.

I was tired after the 3 hour tour up the canyon in the morning; however, my daughter wanted to take this drive. I'm so glad she insisted because the views over the canyon are spectacular. Whereas in the morning we were closed in by the...More

We drove around the south rim and it was beautiful. Even if you don’t want to take a tour, the free drive was worth the time.

While we stopped at all of the locations on the South Rim, dont miss Junction which has a sweeping panoramic view. Spider Rock is also a must stop. I think we spent between 3 and 4 hours not including the White House trail hike.

A drive with many stops to see the views of the canyon. Spectacular views. Some you need to take short walks to the lookouts. Not all are easily accessable. The end point is a view of the famous spider rock.

There are 7 overlooks on the 37 mile round trip South Rim Drive, with gorgeous panoramic views of the canyon. Great for sunset pictures!

We drove the North Rim and stopped at a couple of stops before heading to the South Rim which is much prettier. Definitely drive it either early morning or in the evening to watch the sunset. Spectacular views!

I found this drive more interesting than the north rim drive. Stop at every overlook and walk as many of the short hikes or walks that you can. It is well worth it
