I had been to Canyon de Chelly before, but I had forgotten how impressive Spider Rock is. The overlook is an absolute must do.

We took a Jeep tour with "Beauty Way Jeep Tours" and loved every minute of it. Our personal guide was John and he did a great job taking us back into Canyon de Chelly. We'd give John an A++++ and will ask for him again...More

A visit to Spider Rock from the rim or from the canyon is a special moment. Spider Woman is important to the Navajo and the spiritual feel is immense.

Part of Canyon de Chelly. Hire a Navajo guide and hurry up and go visit. If you like nature, if you like Native American culture and history, you won’t be disappointed

This is one awesome sight that shouldn't be missed if you are in the area. Bring your best camera. Better than the Grand Canyon and few people there.

It's located in the north canyon and we started at the mouth of the south canyon. If we didn't have a 4 hour private tour, I doubt we'd have seen it. But it's worth the trip. Bring a kerchief if you're in an open vehicle....More

Probably, but I didn’t see any and trails are well marked and clear so it would be easy to see if you were about to come upon one.

If you are challenged, as I am sometimes by altitude and a bad back, the walk to Spider Rock can be considered a bit of a hike, but definitely something you can do if you just take your time. It's really not that far, but is... More
