As mentioned you do need a parking sticker, but tourist can actually buy the parking stickers from Wellfleet Chamber of Commerce, so the beach is not limited to locals. People on the travel forum, who have been there, will tell you A parking sticker is good for the beaches and lakes in Wellfleet & a weekly sticker is a good idea if you are staying in the area. The web site has maps of paid lots and sticker lots, also if lots are full you may not have a spot (even with a sticker) so people often recommend getting in early on busy days or going later in the afternoon. For a beach that is owned by US federal taxpayers, they limit this beach to locals. What nonsense. I and all of you US Citizens literally own this beach, but we are not allowed to access this beach or park our cars. I am glad ot pay for parking, but they say only locals can even pay for parking. This is not town owned land, but the US Dept. of the Interior lets the town run this place. They keep out everyone but locals.…

If your not into crowds this in the beach to go. Can walk to Cohoon Hollow where the Beachcomber is for a bite. Great dunes, steep dune to get to beach but very doable
