So Impressed. NICE people, and everywhere you look - complete perfection. Loved the ox cart ride and the inside of the buildings. Enjoyed feeding the chickens too! Could've spent hours and hours there. Wish I'd had time to go to the evening lantern tours.

Nice walking tour of house and other farm buildings. We really enjoyed talking to the lady in the cook house who gave us a lot of information on the farm, family and life at that time. Great learning experience for kids.

We took our grandson (4 years old) to the Island Farm. We really enjoyed it - enjoyed the wagon ride with the Ox and how things where done in the colonial days. People were dressed in period clothing, doing things that they did back then. My grandson loved making candles and playing games. Only sad part was parents that dropped... More

This is a charming little attraction on Roanoke Island, that let's you step back in time and see what life was like on a farm. The docents are reenactors and very helpful. This is a great place to visit, for the peaceful nature of the site, as well as the learning experience.

Wonderful staff providing rides with the steer pulling a cart. Great for children but I found it very interesting as well. If you come at the right time of year, you can watch the sheep shearing.

This place is like taking a step back in time. The reenactors all dressed in period clothing going about their daily chores which included cooking corn cakes and farm raised eggs. We were even able to taste some of it which was nice. We got there just in time for the last wagon ride which takes you around the entire... More

We were headed to the aquarium - and it was beyond full so we went to the Island Farm instead. We were pleasantly surprised at this place! We were greeted by the friendliest person and everyone through out the farm were so so so kind and informational! Our toddler daughter and teen niece both enjoyed this adventure today. Please take... I took my children to the Island Farm, their ages range from teenagers to a toddler and there was something for all of them to enjoy. From feeding the chickens, collecting eggs from the hen house, taking a carriage ride pulled by an ox named Charlie and children's games. The staff was very knowledgeable, making an educational visit extremely fun... More
