Guests might want to read the history of the Playhouse online. Check with Box Office management in advance re promotions available through local businesses. These do not seem to be well-advertised. Did not like pre-show laundry list of marketing ideas (for cruise, etc). Would have appreciated more info/highlights regarding the history of the Playhouse through to present. We enjoyed A... More

The show was very enjoyable. Cast was both professional and local amateurs. Very well done. Bought seats late in the day so we were in row 16 and the stage was still very visible and the sound excellent.

My husband and I really enjoyed this wonderful production of 9 to 5. Changing venues often...different offices, police station, workplace kitchen, outdoor areas, etc. were very cleverly and quickly done as part of the show. And with a cast and ensemble of over 30 characters, all was extremely well done.

We went o a tour with Christian Tours to see Donny Edwards and we had a great time there. Donny was great and the theater was very nice. This was the first time that I had been here and the only thing I did not like was we were not allowed to take pictures in the theater. Their policy not... More

Flat Rock Playhouse is the state theater of North Carolina. There are two locations, one in Flat Rock...the original theater which offers a series of plays and musicals...and one in downtown Hendersonville. The shows are professionally produced and the casts are talented. You will find good entertainment here at reasonable prices.

Have been to Flat Rock Playhouse numerous times and have always enjoyed the play. This time we thought it was exceptional. The program was The Beehive Musical and we thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The performers were very talented and I can recommend.

We went with friends to see beehive the musical. Great music and memories from the 60s and 70s! Nice sized venue. Comfortable seating. We attended the 2 PM showing and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We saw Beehive, the 60's music, musical and we loved it. The playhouse is very nice. It is quaint, comfortable and fun. The tickets sell fairly quick so if you are going to be around there, check what is playing and order your tickets on line. There were numerous tour buses there when we went.

I have visited this theater 5 times this year and each one has been terrific! Most recently I saw Beehive- which features the music of the women of the 60's and 70's. It was a fun, vibrant show with talented singers. This venue consistently puts on great shows, with fantastic staging, unique sets, and wonderful musicians. The location is also... More
