Overview
More
New York Comic-Con is North America's largest comic book convention. It is a four-day fan-fuelled celebration of comics, anime, graphic novels, video games, toys, movies, and television. Guests attend to show off their cosplay costumes, acquire autographs of famous actors, writers, and artists, and to attend panels, workshops, shopping stalls, and premiers. Frequented by some of Hollywood's top actors and directors, as well as some of the biggest names in manga and comics, it is often the spot where much-anticipated trailers make their debut, and entire casts from TV shows and superhero movies are on-hand for a Q&A. The fact that industry professionals take it seriously speaks to the attendance of over 130,000 people daily: the max capacity for the Jacob Javitz Convention Centre, where it is held. Tickets (either day or weekend) must be purchased in advance, and often sell out the same day they are released.

This was our first Comic-Con. We regularly attend anime cons, so we were looking forward to the change of pace. Entry into the Javits Center was quick, smooth and was actually faster than the badge purchasing process. We arrived about thirty minutes prior to the...More

the show has developed to have adults bring minors BUT strollers clutter the already cramped aisles, baby slings are a danger to the infants due to the sheet masses that now attend. While it can be a nice show to attend, bring plenty of cash...More

Even though we are not big comic book fans, video game fans or Star Wars fans, we love Comiccon. There are so many interesting things to see and do: virtual reality experiences, photo booths, comic art displays, neat memorabilia to view, activity booths, geo spheres,...More

I had no idea this event was a big as it is. Every aspect of it was fantastic (venue, staff, fellow attendees) except for the number of people. It was elbow to elbow and difficult to move about. I find it hard to believe they...More

Had. Great time at the comic con, however I felt any niggles were caused by venue staff rather than con staff. the first day they did not seem to know where we were to enter and there was no real queuing system. I found many...More
