For most Long Islanders like myself, all trips on the Long Island Railroad begin on 34th Street. Definitely a congested walk during peak times. Plenty of great shopping and restaurants. And The Empire State Building.

As a native New Yorker, I love all the boros but Manhattan, certainly has something special. And the big streets, like 42nd street and 34th are a must see. If you walk from east to west, you can get a feel for NYC and browse around the stores. You have Macy´s, the Manhattan Mall, Bryant Park, etc. …
