When you travel from Australia, you simply can't just do the Statten Island ferry view of Liberty - for us it's possibly a once in a lifetime experience. It's virtually a month to the day since we visited as I pen this review. We booked ahead for the crown and pedestal, although it was weeks not months given we visited... More

We had a great visit to the Statue of Liberty, and everyone enjoyed the informative audio tour. If you arrive on the first ferry of the morning, the crowds are not overwhelming, and you can easily take photos without other people in them. Taking off one star b/c we would have liked to visit the pedestal and were frustrated that... More

We got tickets online for ferry ride, statue of liberty and ellis island for $18.50. At the statue we got in line to go to the pedestal. They do have an elevator but the line was long so we took the stairs. It was exhausting and I am glad we didn't do the crown because those stairs were even more... More

Short queues for the ferries, well organised staff throughout all areas. Tickets, Ferries, Audio headsets etc... I had visited here 3 years ago and had throughly enjoyed it and wanted my husband to have the same experience. I paid $36 for 2 tickets ( which I thought was really good ) when we arrived on Liberty island we went to... More

We booked a visit with pedestal access (crown tickets weren't available for another couple of months!). I would definitely advise the pedestal tickets, as they give access to a fascinating and accessible exhibition which explains and shows how the Statue was conceived, designed, built and has been maintained. I was initially put off by the price of the TripAdvisor-suggested tours... More

NYC was my first visit in USA when I moved here. Now that I work in NYC and almost see this view every other day, still the feel of seeing this for the first time was definitely something.

I think that the Statue is best viewed from the river cruise rather than going up inside. Personally, I found going up inside very claustrophobic, and the nearer you got to to the crown, very, very hot, I did not enjoy the experience.

I love the Statue of Liberty, I think its the best thing in New York. We went up into the crown, and by the way you cannot buy tickets on the day for this, you must buy them at least a couple of months in advance. The security is mega high, you are screened before boarding the ferry and if... More

Under $20 and it's cool to see something so iconic. The short ferry ride also provides you with a perfect opportunity to take some great pictures of the city as the boat heads towards the statue of liberty!

Get in early and queue up from half 8, and ask for the pedestal free tickets , they give you access inside the statue, not to the top but it's good enough! There are so many free tickets each day, first come first served! But you won't be given any unless you actually ask for them, really made our visit... More
