Gorgeous structure and friendly to visitors.

Even though they do not offer skyline views, you can visit and just take some pictures of its beautiful structure.

You can go into the lobby & see the beautiful art deco lifts. the ceiling is painted with murals (which are a bit faded) but this iconic landmarks is one of my... More

Such a beautiful building, we only saw it from the outside but this building alone made you feel like you was in NYC. We walked past it every day as our hotel was near by. A must see.

It's difficult to visit Manhattan without constant use of the term iconic but in this case it's eminently appropriate. The once tallest building in the world and now easily recognised almost anywhere in the world. Easy to see from many parts of Manhattan particularly in and around Grand Central Station, with it's unique design - a beautiful building as well... More

It's a really tall building. The architecture is interesting. It's seems to be from an era when architects wanted to make something that really looked good. I liked it.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
