Top ways to experience Empire State Building
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

    Stunning!!
The views were absolutely stunning! The Empire State Building tour was my favorite stop of our NYC Trip. The employees were kind, friendly and inviting getting to know us and even contributing their own facts about the building as well. Overall 10/10 experience.
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We are so happy to hear that the views and experience were a memorable one. Thank you for choosing the Empire State Building!

    Nice visit
We visited in June 2023. Tickets must be purchased online for a specific time. They won't let you in there before. The interior is beautifully restored. Of course, a security check is part of the entrance. However, finding the right entrance is difficult, it is rather poorly marked. It is located next to the Build a bear workshop store. Otherwise a beautiful view.
Thank you so much for your review!

    Much improved experience!
Was there >10 years ago and was disappointed, but there seems to have been multiple improvements. The educational part was fun, the outdoor viewing area appeared to update the metal bars so it was easier to see out, and the addition of floor 102 top deck was neat. it was rather expensive though.
Welcome back!! So happy you enjoyed our experience. We hope to have you back soon!

    Totally worth it!
We went all the way to floor 102 and it was amazing!! The views were phenomenal! It was not so easy to get good pics through the glass, but if you angle it right it can be done. This would have been really beautiful to see at sunset... next time for sure!
We are so happy you enjoyed the view. Thank you for choosing the Empire State Building!

Iconic Old Building With an Unmatched View
All tall buildings have a view, that's granted. But at the Empire State Building, you get an iconic view of the concrete jungle called New York - buildings with its own famous stories and a history. The Empire State Building never ceases to amaze people and even from a distance you are always going to see that stand out - whether you are visiting New York for the first time or the 10th time. Getting on top is easy - go downstairs at the entrance, get a ticket and up you go after walking through a lesson in history. The views are just amazing and on a good clear day you can clearly spot the Statue of Liberty. This time we went in a June morning and it was a bit hazy (a few days before the big haze hit New York)... but even then we could see all the way out in a bluish sky. Another time I went was the Christmas week, it was cold and very, very windy at the top. The views are a photographer's delight... the streets and streets of buildings stacked up like match boxes.. quite a view and if you are in NY, definitely worth going up and taking a look.
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We are so happy to hear that the views and experience were a memorable one. Thank you for choosing the Empire State Building!

    A forgotten jewel
It was my first time visiting the Empire State Building - after visiting other NYC observatories, I decided to give the old classic a try. And wow! The whole place was quite empty - no lines, no crowds, and instant access on a Sunday afternoon in June. Amazing views with plenty of space to walk around and take pictures, and overall a very relaxed experience. Clearly the profusion of other observatories in the city means the Empire State is now a bit forgotten by tourists - which makes this a great time in history to visit it without the mad crowds we often see in pictures. My only complaint? Standard admission costing $48. Ouch!! And the upgrade to the 102nd floor (with virtually the same views) costs extra. Maybe more reasonable prices would attract more tourists? Anyways, all in all it was an amazingly quiet experience in a New York classic that everyone should experience.
Thank you for choosing the Empire State building. We are so happy you a had a memorable visit. Hope you’ll come back and see us soon.

    Worth the time and money
The view was beautiful. The staff was AMAZING!!! Kind, friendly and informative. I accidently bought the wrong time of day ticket. I called right away and was told not to worry, that they would accommodate when I arrived. I didn't trust it was that easy so I asked for the man's name and his position. He politely told me. And to my surprise when we arrived they accommodated without any issues. Everyone was so pleasant. It was an amazing experience,
We’re so happy to hear that you had a wonderful visit to the Empire State Building. Thank you for the review. Hope to be a part of your next visit to New York.

    A MUST SEE!
The Empire State Building experience is one you cannot miss. Much thought has been put into designing an immersive educational trip through history. And even with rain and clouds, the view was spectacular.
So glad that the Empire State Building exceeded your expectations. Thank you for your review.

    Amazing views!!!!
Iconic, one of the must-do's in New York. The entire experience was amazing!! So much to see even before you get to the observation deck and the top level. Our tickets were for 6pm but we were early and allowed in at 4.45pm I loved the King Kong hand coming thur the wall. The only negative thing for me was queue system once you walked into the entrance - no one really knew which queue was the right one, so a lot people were moving in & out trying to get in quicker.
Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our museum and gallery just as much as the view.

The One Thing You Should Do in NYC
If it’s your first time in NYC, this should be the one touristy thing you do. 25 years ago that’s what my wife and I did. To celebrate our anniversary we decided to go up once again. It was a Wednesday morning and we went right up. No line. No crowd.
Happy anniversary and thank you for choosing the Empire State Building to celebrate.

It was amazing. The whole experience was outstanding. The views of how the Wmpire State Building was built. The Timelapse of the building and the video in the elevator making you feel like you were part of the construction was outstanding. Then we saw the views. Wow!

Firstly I would say buy this option it's slightly more expensive but not only do you get to skip the queues with the red carpet treatment but you get to see floor 102. The museum itself is very intresting telling the story of how it was built and there are lots of other exhibits too see, the best been King Kongs hand coming through the wall while he is peering in the window at you you can stand in his hand for a great photo opportunity The outside viewing deck is brilliant as it doesn't have glass just railings and you get much better photos. But sixteen floors above this is probly the best views in New York It's a complete round glass circle like a fishbowl

Even if not too busy (a Thurs morning in June) why are staff so stressed out and unfriendly? With a VIP Badge visible, why shout and question that We had access ? A little bit if friendly Would make our visit a whole more memorable.
Venue great of course, worth going up to 102nd.

Good views, some sense of terror. A fine day. 100 characters must be used, so I will comment on the toilets which were first class. Having a wee so high up, breathtaking.

Loved the Empire State Building. You have various views that are available, this was great views. The difference with this one unlike some of the others is that there are exhibits before you go up, you also get a photo opportunity with Kong. Really enjoyed it and we used Go City pass which was so easy.
Go weekday it’s quieter and the staff were amazing and looked very smart.

Took the lift to the maximum level and had a perfect sunny day so the views were spectacular, full 360 degrees. Overwhelming how big Manhattan is once you see it from so high up. A must do.
