Would recommend going early mornings or late nights as lines get very very busy. Recommend buying tickets ahead of time if possible. We went here late night and the view was amazing. It was quite busy but worth it for the view! Chilly up top...More

Visited on Saturday 15 September at 4pm no queues got to the 86th in a flash and enjoyed the views. I guess we were off peak and why we didn’t have queues to contend with.

If you want a bird's-eye view if New York it's better to shill out your sheckels on a helicopter ride. Best rooftop views in NY are on rooftop bars where you can still look down on the streets but look up at the skyscrapers. These...More

the city pass gets you through the inital entry without queing, but once you're through that, you have to line up with everyone else - all the pass does is enable you to avoid the long queues for entry tickets.
