I'm from California. I've never seen anything like Central Park.
So many movie locations all in one place. Salsa dancing, live music, picnics on an open field covering more acres than I can even try to estimate. Tremendous.
We finished at the Dakota and spent a few minutes in Strawberry Fields.
Heartbreaking and amazing all at the same time.
If you have and hour and a half, or 2, you will never cover the ground you would hope to cover on foot. Pay 60.00 plus a reasonable tip to the guys that run the bicycle carriages. It should buy you about 40-45 minutes. You get a tour from someone who knows what to point out, and you will see so much of the park. It's worth it. Great day.

Decided to hire a bike from Columbus Circle and ride round the park…it was well worth it…It was a hot dayAnd the park was busy also there was the AIDS walk 2022 so some of the roads were closed but that didn’t matter as I still enjoyed it

Central Park is a must-see when in NYC. It is a serene, green oasis in the middle of the somewhat chaotic atmosphere that is Manhattan. The many adventures to visit include Alice in Wonderland, Literary Walk, Gapstow Bridge, and Shakespeare Garden. The Reservoir is a focal point with the vast pond and abundant wildlife. We had several beautiful days to enjoy this marvelous mecca of greenery and highly recommend taking advantage of the park.

Wanted to walk around the park as our last time here was freezing (January) so we stayed away.
Beautiful park which is very well kept and has cafes throughout which were reasonable in price.
Felt really safe and the local schools use it as their PE area and the local child care providers were everywhere with buggies giving the local kids some fresh air away from the roads.
Hard to believe you are in New York once you are in the middle as buildings and road noise disappear.

We were fortunate with the weather and had a beautiful sunny bike ride around the entire park. We used the Citi Bike scheme which we found inexpensive and very handy. The cycle path in the park is well organised and mostly one way. There are horse and carriages available should this be your preference and also pedicab tours (although the pedicab we approached wanted in excess of $100 per person!!) The park has lots going on and plenty of places to stop off and relax. It is a lovely oasis of nature in the heart of the city and well worth a visit.

Definitely the jewel of the city, you could easily spend days doing different activities; horse carriage rides, bike rickshaws, walking tours, bicycle rentals, the Central Park zoo, the carousel, picnicking, wandering around/hanging out.

Well worth visiting for a welcome change of scenery when in NY, there’s a nice mix of things to do in an area populated by locals, tourists, and eccentrics alike. Enjoy!

No trip to New York City is complete without a stroll in Central Park! It is the quintessential NYC experience which features Bathesda Fountain, the Boating pond, Bow Bridge, tons of walking trails, wonderful flowers, huge boulders for taking a sit, numerous lush green lawns, and so much more! You’ve gotta get there!
