Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A beautiful stone bridge, Gapstow Bridge is a lovely feature in New York's Central Park. It was built in 1896! It's also a spot where many movies have used the bridge as a film set. It is a great location for some wonderful photo opportunities.

If you're in the south east part of Central Park then you more then likely have a chance to see or walk over this bridge. It's just one of the many beautiful features of the park.

On this bridge on Christmas day- gets very iced up in this corner even on a very sunny day. I recreated a famous 1960 shot of the bridge in Black and white to a modern day version as you would expect soooo many changes in the skyline behind! Well worth a look

This Bridge from 19th century is surely a must visit attraction in Central Park. It may not be an architectural marvel but has a beautiful aesthetic presence to it. With water fowls floating on pond beneath, foliage creeping over the bridge it was a pleasant site. It surely is one of the most photographic point in the park. I has visited during Spring when leaves were just coming out and it was such a pleasant site. Recommended, Do visit if you have time.

Very attractive bridge in Central Park. It’s easy to find and towards the south of the park. Worth a photo or two.

The bridge by itself is not much, but as you walk towards it a scenic area on both sides welcomes you. You can walk down by the pond and see the bridge at a distance. It really is a nice area. Look across the pond and you see the city. Another great place to sit, relax and take it all in.

This is another thing to check out during your Central Park visit.
We visited in the winter so the crowds weren’t too bad. Another visit this time in the summer is on the cards

Gapstow is a small bridge in central park. A pedestrian bridge that is.
Underneath it is a paved walkway.
Nothing remarkable though

Gapstow Bridge is iconic. It welcomes you to Central Park. Beautiful and historic. I’ve seen it in so many movies and in person it’s even better. Highly recommended!
