I must admit I didn't know the story of Chicago before I booked this. We booked through the TKTs booth at Times Square. I'm so glad we chose this musical! It was fantastic. Loved that it had an orchestra you could see playing and they incorporated the musicians into the show. It was humorous and fun to watch. The singers... More

We took our 19 year old son with us, he was sure he'd fall asleep during the performance. Needless to say he did not and actually enjoyed the show. My husband and I thought it was wonderful. Do not hesitate to see this musical. The cast is very talented and held my attention throughout the entire performance. Yes the theatre... More

Chicago was an amazing night out, brilliant singing, costumes and dancing! We were lucky enough to see Mel B (as a former spice girl fan i was quite excited!) although her acting wasn't quite that of her onstage counterpart- Velma, Mel was still a treat to watch and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. The onstage band was a brilliant twist... More

The singers and dancers were talented, but the stage was really simple without props, the stage was mainly occupied by the orchestra. The theater is quite worn out and there is really no area to stand during the interlude and the line for the toilet was really long. And if you want to buy something in the very small bar... More

I paid an obscene amount of money to see a show that was so minimalist it didn't merit being called a broadway production. The chorus performers were excellent but the two leads were weak. The actress playing Velma was 57 years old. Now, she looked and danced amazingly for a woman her age but the part is meant to be... More

Dated. Listless. Almost boring. Annoying orchestra placement on stage causes the muted trumpet and trombones to pierce through the ears of the orchestra seating first ten rows. Very distracting. Mel B (Scary Spice girl) is much better than expected. On 1/1/17 7pm performance Jason Patrick Sands played Billy Flynn and unfortunately lacked the snap and enthusiasm of the regular lead,... More

The show was okay. Not great. Not terrible. The show itself is 3 stars. The nearly 100 year old theater, however, is pretty bad. The theater is 1 star. The rows are so close together that even my knees got cramped and I'm only 5' 6". I felt sorry for the tall people near me. The bathroom situation, though, is... More

Having heard about this fun show I was happy that our travel club had arranged for us to have excellent seats for a matinee. The actors were fabulous and the orchestra was spot on. It was an entertaining and engaging 2 1/2 hour performance that I thoroughly enjoyed. Before you go see it, and you definitely should, you should know... More

I had higher expectations. The first half of the show was a bit boring. Second half was better. I would have preferred more dancing and singing. The story line was ok. Although I felt it could have been better if the actors were stronger. They never grabbed my attention except for the gentleman who played the husband. He grabbed my... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
