That’s what we did- used it to enter NYC from NJ. There are many multiple lanes and highways all converging and separating during the many mike long approach to this massive structure. Both Waze and posted electronic signs advise whether the lower or upper deck...More

I used the GW Bridge in the early afternoon to return home from morning business in Jersey. Still plenty of traffic during an off peak hour heading back to Long Island.

If you are going uptown it's the way to go nice views of the Hudson river, and skyline. Doesn't smell as much as the tunnels.

Walking across the GWB is a nice way to get from Fort Lee, NJ to Upper Manhattan. It's only a little over a mile and takes 20-30 minutes. The views are beautiful, though not as nice as they were before they surrounded the walkway with...More

I had to take a quick trip to New Jersey. Always a great view crossing the GWB. At 1:30pm, there was plenty of traffic. Better opportunity to take in the sights.

Being from out of state I thought going across the bridge around 6pm on a Saturday night would be ok, I was wrong. We sat in bumper to bumper traffic for well over an hour trying to get on. It's an iconic bridge, yes, but...More

I couldn’t get over how this isn’t one of the top things to do in NY. With breathtaking views at both sides and safety features I’ve never seen in any other places. A beautiful park at the end of the road on the NJ side...More
