If you want to be waiting in line for over an hour watching boats depart without you, choose the Rockaway ferry. A great afternoon out making friends in the line. It took four boats until we were able to board.

I was on the inaugural run from Astoria Cove and then again in December 2017, which was very much colder. I see there are a lot of bad reviews here, but on the two trips I have taken to Manhattan, honestly, it wasn't that bad....More

We used the Astoria branch of this Ferry on three occasions, each ran to time. The ferries are clean, the staff welcoming and there is even a small cafe on board. What’s not to like.

loved this very short trip and used the ferry quite a few times during our holiday. Staff not that pleasant especially the girl who kept shouting "back of the boat" to anyone who dared to ask a question.
