We sailed into the harbour on Cunard's QE on a bright blue sky day - always a good place to take photos and take in the Manhattan skyline. A completely different view of the city which everybody should try in my humble opinion if they get half a chance.

New York City's Harbor is a wonder house of marvels -- so many ways to enjoy it, almost countless ways. My favorite is to walk around the island of Manhattan or the water front in Brooklyn or on Staten Island or Governors or Roosevelt Islands. Second favorite, take one of the many different cruises -- they all have merit but... More

I took my family on a tour of the harbor, aboard HornBlower Cruises. They run on the hour the staff was nice. During the tour there was an audio player with the history and the sights you were seeing. The audio was played in several languages. It took us along the seaport explaining the history and also told about the... More

We took a boat ride into the harbor and enjoyed the views of the city, Liberty Island, Ellis Island and the Brooklyn bridge. This was a fun experience and a great opportunity to take some amazing pictures.

It's nice to even just walk by the harbor and take photos of the bridges, buildings, birds, boats, ship etc.

Take a cruise of New York harbor while you're in the area. It's a great vantage point for a fabulous view of the New York City skyline.

Arrive early! If you arrive early and line up you're likely to get a seat to sit and enjoy the ride. Otherwise, enjoy the long tour standing. We went early and didn't have to wait in a long line. The tour was beautiful. We saw the statue of liberty and took selfies as the boat did a 360° angle surrounding... More
