Having walked the Brooklyn Bridge and wondered around the disappointing Dumbo shopping district, went went back to Manhattan via this train bridge. Not as spectacular or ore inspiring as it’s neighbouring bridge, but far less crowded, so quicker.

Not a lot of people take the time to walk across Manhattan Bridge, choosing the more picturesque Brooklyn bridge as their subject, but try this on for size: Cross from Chinatown to Dumbo on Manhattan, then return on Brooklyn, making a (long) circle route onto...More

This bridge is a workhorse, an important link between 2 huge bustling boroughs. Down below in Brooklyn is a small cool neighborhood.

We rode the lower level, with noisy subway trains on both sides of us, going in opposite directions. It was after dark. The passenger commented on the view.

Younger brother of Brooklyn bridge is almost as impressive as his older sibling. You can see Brooklyn bridge as well as the Manhattan skyscrapers or the river below.

The Manhattan bridge is way more impressive looking than the Brooklyn Bridge - there’s a great spot in DUMBO to get a photo of part of the bridge just like in Once Upon A Time in America. Great bridge for photos of the Manhattan skyline.

Easy walk across the pedestrian path and an iconic bridge that should form part of any first time visitors list of things to see.
