Walking over the bridge gives a nice view over lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. Views are especially good in the morning and in the evening.

We walked to Brooklyn on the Brooklyn Bridge and back to Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The Manhattan Bridge was much less crowded with pedestrians and bikes. It offered great views of the city and the Brooklyn Bridge without all the chaos.

The Manhattan bridge can be approached from Canal Street. This is bridge crosses into Brooklyn. Best route to downtown Brooklyn and Flatbush Avenue. Stunning bridge at night over the East River.
