Cool building with some great views from the top floor. But the quality of your visit will depend on the exhibits they have at the time. We were underwhelmed.

We were staying in the area and had very limited time to see this museum, but decided to drop in on a Thursday evening in order to see it — or miss it altogether. We shouldn’t have bothered. The front-desk staff member we spoke to...More

I'm all for contemporary art -- I love New York's MOMA and Guggenheim museums; however, the New Museum takes art to another level that just makes no sense. All of the pieces felt strewn together with no purpose, and the descriptions of each work were...More

Visited with three teenagers. They are very open minded and enjoyed the eclectic collection, the adults preferred the sky terrace and the architecture of the building. At $18 an adult it is expensive, thankfully teenagers are free so it made for an affordable outing of...More

It is called the New museum but it’s been open for over a decade. It’s quite a small museum with very limited exhibits on every floor , a bit expensive for the 18$ entrance fee per adult ( kids under 18 are free). We were...More

I stopped in at the New Museum on accident, as I was in the neighborhood for a different purpose. I found the architecture of the museum interesting, but the "art" itself was very strange/weird and did not appeal to me in any way. The descriptions...More

I really loved the New museum. I had an afternoon to kill and had planned to visit a few art galleries but ended up staying here for hours instead. It is a very welcoming place where you can spend hours watching the films and looking...More

The museum costs $18 per person but there are not very many exhibits. I saw everything in less than 2 hours. It is truly modern art and some of the exhibits were very thought provoking. Some were trash but that's the way modern art goes!...More

The most interesting part of the museum is its building that opened its doors at the end of 2007. The New Museum is essentially a vast exhibiton space; its own modest collection of about 1,000 art pieces is not on the permanent display; the building's...More
