Bryant Park has a French-style merry-go-round, open year-round, plus a well-maintained lawn, with chairs and tables. The outdoor Reading Room has picture books and summertime story times. In winter. Take a spin on the free ice-skating rink. The park also has clean bathrooms, a rarity in midtown.

Ice skating, a georgous tree, lots of little kiosks with LOTS of interesting shopping and the Bryant Park Grill. What more could one ask for?

Give me Bryant Park in any season! It's simply awesome, I love it! There are a whole lot of activities going on at once, for all ages and tastes. The best spot in the city!

Love this park, which was just across from our hotel, and it did not disappoint with their xmas markets and ice rink. Gets you in the xmas spirit. Go first thing in the morning before everyone else and you will get chance to take fantastic pictures of this great venue before the tourists arrive !

My husband and I had heard about a Christmas market in Bryant Park, so visited there on our recent trip to NYC. It was similar to the Christmas markets in Germany - very festive, with lots of shops, a Christmas tree, ice skating, and surpassed our expectations! We shopped, and had lunch at the covered outdoor grill in Bryant Park.... More

Whatever the season, I love this park. I visited in June and it was a lovely cool place to have coffee or lunch in the shade of the trees. Then this December, it was transformed into a fantastic Xmas market with ice rink. A must do!

Bryant park is beautiful at this time of year, they have a huge ice skating ring, a massive Christmas tree, and surrounding the park are small huts, selling everything - Christmas decoration, jewellery, glass wares ,lights, cards, paintings, and so many different types of eating places from around the world. It really is one of my favourite places to visit .

Bryant park was the closest subway stop to our hotel and we visited the Christmas Markets over and over again. Great food, and stalls, we went ice skating although that was a bit of a rip off. Well decorated with Christmas lights and a big tree. Also visit the library behind it if you get a chance.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
