Bryant Park has a French-style merry-go-round, open year-round, plus a well-maintained lawn, with chairs and tables. The outdoor Reading Room has picture books and summertime story times. In winter. Take a spin on the free ice-skating rink. The park also has clean bathrooms, a rarity in midtown.

Nice to see greenery in a world city. Loved seeing the skaters on the rink. Made for a festive feeling for a visit to the City.

Bryant Park is a lovely natural setting in Midtown Manhattan like no other public space thanks to Biederman, Heiskell & the Rockefeller Brothers Fund in the late 1980s. Once a four acre lake known as Reservoir Square, today BP offers a seasonal carousel, ice skating and a charming Winter Village. Dine at the Bryant Park Grille or sip a drink... More

Me and my cousin went ice skating here on her 30th Birthday and it was a fun experience! We paid $20 each I think it was for skate hire and purchased a lock for the lockers for $10. Altogether it was $50 for 2 which some might say is expensive but when in NYC you have to go ice skating!... More

Was here for the lovely Market and to watch the ice skaters but this would be a great place to come at any time of year, given its central position and some lovely architecture nearby.

Free books and magazines to read. Clean, graffiti free, vendor free, popular but always space available. Guest readings, saw Kareem Abdul jabber talk about Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock brother. Music. Monday night movies. A gem.

Each time I visit Bryant Park, I never want to leave. This time we visited in winter and it was had as much atmosphere as when we visited in summer. We arrived early rugged up but the sun peeked through and our scarves and coats were removed. We watched the ice skating rink being prepared and when it was opened... More

We visited to go ice skating with our daughter. Yes she was on the ice for 10 mins but she still enjoyed it. Park not as pretty as the summer but its was lovely and quiet.

the sidewalks were not cleared of snow, so it was a little tricky to get around. A few people were skating. It was clean and inviting. I wish I spent more time looking around.

My adult daughter and I stopped at Bryant Park to sit and talk and watch the people. It was a beautiful NYC day and we enjoyed ourselves. Definitely worth a walk around the park. People were ice skating, eating lunch and relaxing. At the holidays the park has shops and food trucks. Worth a visit!

We discover the winter at Bryant park while walking to our hotel. We absolutely enjoyed people watching and the skaters. It was a great neighborhood vibe as we sipped our coffee on a sunny afternoon. If you have a chance grab a table and chair and watch the city line as the buildings light up in front of you

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
