A nice combination of aerospace and naval aviation history. An interesting collection of aircraft (although weather affected on the flight deck) with views across the river, as well as discussion of the vessel's service. If interested, the Concorde tour is well worth the extra. Marked to 4 stars only because of the Smithsonians being better.

The USS Intrepid was the first attraction I visited in NYC and was a must see since I'm a huge aviation and naval fan. While I could live with the 26$ USD entry fine I found the additional add-on's to be very pricey. We ended up purchasing the basic ticket as I have been on a Concorde before (Alpha Golf... More

Definitely a boys day out but I enjoyed it anyway. Visit the submarine first as the queues build up quickly. The visitor guide told us this and was useful. Plenty of steps to go up and down so could be difficult for some. When we came out we went across the road the garage where they sold coffee and doughnuts... More

Having got the new york pass we were looking at attractions to visit on our trip and this was highlighted. The aircraft carrier Intrepid is very well laid out and is airy and spacious inside the museum making it feel less crowded when busy. Can be very cold on a cool day as set right on the river. Submarine is... More

They charge you admission to get in, but they have added exhibits that we weren't aware of before hand. IF you want to do everything here, it will cost a bit extra. We only went to the Intrepid and it was fun enough. There was actually some kind of musical being rehearsed while we were there as well, which was... More

This museum is located mainly within an old plane carrier. There´s plenty of airplanes and other aircrafts to see as well as exhibitions related to US wars. There´s a cafeteria also, somewhat expensive. You can see also a real Concorde and a nuclear submarine. Enterprise suttle can be access for an extra fee.

This is a great way to spend a couple of hours to set foot on an aircraft carrier and see a whole history of modern military and space aircraft at the same time. Well worth the walk over to the Hudson River to visit this museum.

Visiting this museum was one of the unexpected highlights of our trip. As a family with a young children we visited on a rainy day. This did not hamper our experience one bit. The opportunity to get up close with some of the aircraft on the flight deck was great. We also had an opportunity to view the new galaxy... More
