Even if you're not shopping, SoHo is a wonderful area to walk around and window shop. Check out the Sonos store which has great listening rooms, stop in Ground Cover for a coffee. When you're finished window shopping and want to walk head east to the Tenement Museum for a great history tour or head west to the Hudson River... More

Happen to reach SoHo walking from ChinaTown and it was the transition that made me realised that I was somewhere different. The trendy stores and the artsy street was very cool.

What is to say about this trendy NYC neighborhood. Go there, shop there, eat there. The choices are so vast that you could spent a month there and are still far from having sampled everything. Soho is a world of its own.

Nice neighborhood to walk around in. Lots of good restaurants and shops. Used to be more independent stores, most seem to have been replaced with chain stores from high end malls.

Soho is in a bit of a strange part of Manhatten, your below Greenwich village, just north of Wall Street and west of Chinatown. But its not that convient to anything. There are some good bars and restaurants and if your really lucky and score a loft your really lucky and wealthy. It's not a bad walk when it's warm... More

This is a really interesting part of NY. So many great shops and places to eat. I didn't spend enough time there definitely. I would probably say 5 hours there if you wanna get something to eat and some shopping.

Get lost in the streets of SoHo and open your eyes to discover street art pieces everywhere!! They're on the floor, walls, rooftops, wall sides, just take it all in! Plus, window shopping is a great way to learn about the fashion of SoHo. Who knows, maybe you'll find your signature style!

There is everything from one of a kind local shops to Bloomingdales and Topshop. Something for everyone in this area and when you need a break, countless bistros and pubs to rest... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
