Mental Dillenger Escape Plan gig!

Came here for Dillenger in October 2016. I'm not a metal fan but the boyfriend is. We were in NYC for a week and wanted to go to a gig and I'm so glad we did. Security is tight... read more

I was appalled at the treatment at the door. You may be able to bully underage and early twenty somethings but don't approach this bar if you are an adult with any self respect. You will be pushed around like cattle by the "security". Men are made to stand in a much longer line than the women who are moved... More

Came here for Dillenger in October 2016. I'm not a metal fan but the boyfriend is. We were in NYC for a week and wanted to go to a gig and I'm so glad we did. Security is tight but I'm glad as it made me feel safer. I found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. We paid... More

The security here is kind of rude. They have a coat check downstairs. The drink prices are absolutely ridiculous. But the sound is good though.

I've been to this venue a few times mainly for performances. It is really huge with about three rooms that each usually host their own event. The main room has the stage with a second floor VIP balcony section. I don't recommend the balcony because the view from there isn't great especially when its crowded. You can see from any... More

Casual venue - we bought tickets to the Gotham party. We saw some performances but there were long breaks between sets. No need to "dress to impress" even though they suggest it.

We kicked off a birthday weekend by going to this show as we were celebrating our 40th bday & we wanted to jam out to the music we loved in high school. Yes--the music was definitely appropriate and brought the nostalgia we were looking for -- BUT I think this place is 19 & over. LOTS of young males looking... More

I've been to Webster Hall before, but this time I went with a ruptured achilles tendon and needed a lot of help getting up and down the stairs. Security was so great! They were very helpful and made the concert that much better. Thanks so much!

Last time I was here I saw Fishbone in early 90's. Lots of slam dancing - I remember watching a skin head with a cast smash into folks with both fascination and fear. Fast forward 25 years and I was very happy with tickets for Corrine Bailey Rae. Webster Hall is standing room only. These days they have unisex bathrooms.... More

First of all - no seats. When I realized that I should have cancelled if I could or stayed home. The first act (horrible) went on at 8PM and played for a half hour - way too long and my ears hurt. The main act didn't start until....not sure since we left. But it was 9:30 when we left and... More

Although I had VIP seating in the balcony of Webster Hall, the venue is huge and perfect for rocking out. There were no seats on the floor area during this particular concert and the crowd was a bit rowdy at times but the music was AMAZING

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
