Could of been better

So from the guy on the street in times square we were sold the tickets he was really nice. It's further than he explained to us tho which is annoying as we got the subway and then got soaked looking for it.

The show itself was good some where better than others which you would expect. We arrived early as advised and the 2 drink min wasn't a problem as we where told before hand.

It would of been a 5* review if it hand been for a rude comedian at the end. My partner asked him the name of a different comedian who had been on earlier as he enjoyed his set and the guy got rude and called my partner names

Now at the end of the day everyone has different style of how they work and what makes them laugh so there was no need for him to be rude as he only asked a question....

Great evening activity, would definitely return!
Aug 2021 • Family
Entertaining evening for both college kids and parents. We had the opportunity to attend on a ‘taping night’ for Ophira Eisenberg. She was hilarious, engaging and unforgettable! The gentleman that opened and closed for her was also funny.

The club itself was exactly what you’d expect. Intimate but a full house on a Sunday night! We attended during the summer covid lull so some guests had masks, and all were checked for vaccination cards at the door. We received notice ahead of time to bring it along. They accepted our vaccine card pictures on our phones to match our IDs.

For food and beverage, I understood the policy and was happy to spend the extra $18 pp, however the poor tasting soda and flavored Pringle’s were a disappointment. Without opening the flavored chip can, I tried asking to swap it for popcorn, but the server just took away the can without a replacement. Groupon tickets were a bonus, so I wasn’t as upset paying the extra $18 pp because the show was well worth it. I would definitely return but stick to bottled water next time!

Great evening full of laughter!
Aug 2021 • Family
Our daughter recommended we come here after a pretty disastrous day of cancelled travel plans. We weren’t quite prepared to laugh-however, we were happy we did at the end. Upon arrival, I was skeptical because it seemed as if only half of the seats were full- I imagine a byproduct of it being a Monday evening, or that it was only 6:30 PM. Once the show began-we were pleasantly surprised. I will say, it started a little slow-but by the end, we were laughing hysterically. The format for the show is a presenter and then 5 or so different comedians. The final two gentlemen were incredible. I wish I remembered their names, but the last one found out we were there with our daughter and spend the majority of the performance telling hilarious patenting stories, and even humored us at the bar after the show. I highly recommend this theater/ club to anyone visiting Ny!

Great night out for our anniversary
Aug 2021 • Couples
We came to the 9:15 Friday night show and we had a really good time. We had to wait to be seated but there is a small bar in the front of the place. The drinks at the bar did not count towards the $18 food and beverage cover for each person. But that was no problem after getting a few drinks and some snacks during the show. There was an Emcee who was very funny, and then they had 5 comedians. There were a couple of really funny ones and the others were ok, but they all had us laughing. I was happy because even though we were in the front they didn’t make fun of us!! The 2 hours flew by and I didn’t know the comedians, but I like that they were all so different in style, age, etc. It’s a great place for a night out with your significant other or your friends. The drinks were not pricey for an NYC venue, and I have to say the bartender made a really good drink!! It was not watered down at all!! The seating was cozy but not uncomfortable. Will definitely come back for another night out!

More than a few laughs; and we would return
Feb 2020 • Couples
We attended with 3 couples, two couples around 65-70 and a couple in their 30’s. Overall, we had a good time, the wait service was excellent and the comics cut across a diverse number of topics....we also had a female comic and the warm up host was very good. One of the things that struck me is how hard it is to be a stand-up comic on a regular basis.....as an audience, you also get a chance to see different perspectives of our way of life and the nuances these performers delve into. Overall, the audience seemed to have a good time, which is what it’s all about. All of us would give a thumbs-up to this location and return again. Over the years, I have been to 3 or 4 of these venues in Manhattan.....they have all been worth the money, and I would recommend it.....expect some serious off-color, and no “politically correctness”....just bring an open sense of humor. By the way, for six of us, with a discount coupon, we spent under $180. Not bad for more than a few laughs.

Huge let down on all levels, way overpriced, and a terrible server
Jan 2020
This place is a joke, but not the kind you expected. I wanted to like this club. An obvious knockoff of the Comedy Cellar, right down to the brick wall and sign placement behind the comedians, I thought it would be a nice change of pace to try this place since it was closer to our apartment and I knew most of the comedians anyway. Also... the cellar was sold out.

The seating was a little bit more spacious than the cellar where you are literally on top of each other to the point where it's tough to get up to use the bathroom or anything. The problem is some seats here are great and others are terrible, it's the luck of the draw which you get even though they all cost the same. We were lucky to get good seats, but many others were stuck in the back off to the sides and I would have hated the experience right off the bat if that were the case.

I've never had a bad time at the cellar, ever. I always leave with my face and sides hurting from laughing so hard. This time, the comedy was just okay. There were some laughs, but a lot of time in between them and just not what I was used to from a NYC comedy club. I can't fault the club for the performances, and some of it was good.

What I can fault them for is the service. The waitress was a complete (w)itch from start to finish. She never once asked if we needed anything the entire time, until the check was coming out. We had to remind her, not twice, but three times for a drink she forgot and she literally rolled her eyes at us when we kindly reminded her of her oversight. She just seemed disgusted to be serving people the whole time and really sunk the entire experience throughout the show.

I was very surprising that someone working for tips would treat paying customers like garbage, until I received the check. They include an automatic 18% gratuity regardless of the number of people in your party, which removes the servers incentive to not be a complete jerk to their tables. Poor move on the clubs part.

And to tie it all together: The bill for this completely subpar experience was just absurd. You think a cheap knockoff would come with a better price tag than their name brand counterpart? Wrong. This place was way more expensive than the cellar.

The bill for 4 people, which included 20% off tickets with a promo code and what we paid at the table: $304.

I can't imagine how much we would have wracked up if our waitress actually came over to refill our drinks like one would expect.

Btw, if you're still want to waste your time and money here, don't make the mistake of ordering any mixed drinks which contained no discernible alcohol. Just stick with the $14 bottle of beer.

So much fun
Dec 2019 • Couples
We had a great night here. We laughed loads, as you’d expect. It was funnier than I had hoped. A great way to spend a night in NYC. We went to the East Village location.

One downside each person had to spend $18 on top of the ticket price in the venue. This wasn’t mentioned at the start. The 1st drink took ages to come so then it was a race to reach the spend required. Maybe some more floor staff would be good.

Overall though get yourself there!!

Rude, crazy rules and China do it how I want.
Jan 2020 • Family
1. The comedy was Ok. Not Luis was Fumes or Hardy but Ok.
2. The service was Ok, too.
3. The accommodation was horrible. The guy who was in charge very rude with weird rules. He said he made those rules if I like is ok if not go out. He forget to say he has to give me the money back. If this is how you treat your guest no wonders why they have so many bad reviews. You guys need to have a lot more professionalism.
Conclusion: overall not worth it the money paid.

Overprice and a lot of lame jokes

Good comedy club for price of drinks which they charge (20$). You can find better way to spend 50$ wich they charge for admission per person.
A lots of racist jokes (ghetto is not funny).

Groupon
Nov 2019 • Family
I purchased tickets through Groupon, it states you have to make reservations benn calling for days being hung up on several times as soon as I mentioned Groupon. Finally made a resi.Get to place first thing I noticed was the nest of mice all in front of venue , it smelled liked old cheese in the place as well.Anyway get to hostess said I have a resi and presented her with Groupon and she turns around and says oh you have to wait to see if other people come if not then you can go in. But I made a resv. She was very nasty and said but Groupon has to wait and no guarantee you will get into show at all for any showings. WTF! FYI it is a cash bar too! Groupon refuses to give money back as well. Maybe someone was looking out for me so I don't contract Hepatitis.I feel this is a total scam!!!
