I loved that the wax figures were not just put there but there were opportunities to make funny pictures with them and really make the most of it :)

Loved it didn't mind price as I had free entry with New York pass. However if I had to pay I would question if it's worth the money... my daughter and I worked fairly quickly through the wax works as we are not people who ponder over every little thing.... really interesting though one visit is evough, expect to pay... I have walked past this place dozens of times and finally said it is time to plan a formal visit. There is usually a theme and for us it was James Bond 007. A wax figure of Daniel Craig (aka Jame Bond) was often outside for photo opportunities if not for The Pope, David Wright or Samuel L. Jackson. The... More

This museum is run down and over rated! Most of the wax statues need updating as the actors have aged a lot! Some of the statues are damaged, due to touching I suppose! A few of the statues are missing, leaving holes in the floor where they had been, the first big room in a strange venetian style was very... More

The wax models are outdated. Hilary Clinton's wax model looks about 30 year younger than she is now. You will not get your moneys worth in this place. Everything is about 8 years behind. They even have twilight as a main attraction there. A very budget experience. The 4D movie was also a waste of money. A cartoon they have... More

It's definitely a fun worthwhile novelty to go if you've never been to a Madame Tussauds before, however, we've seen Madame Tussauds in other cities so it was all a little repetitive.

It was one of the best places in NY. If you're traveling to the city you can't miss Madame Tussaud's. It's really fun!

I read people take almost 2 hours here, but I spent 1 and it was more than enough. It was funny to take pictures with the wax figures, since the scenarios help to create the environment and you feel like you are part of it. I loved to take a picture on ET's bike, for example! And kids love it!... More

We bought our tickets the night before and were so glad that we did. When we got to Madame Tussauds, there was a line out the door waiting to purchase tickets. We just walked right in and started our adventure. It was really a lot of fun. Most of the figures are so life like you think they should start... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
