After paying over $10 a glass for wine in local bars we found this shop after visiting the food hall at Grand Central. The choice of wine is very good & 2 bottles are virtually the same price here as 2 glasses in the bars. Staff really friendly & helpful.

Rhiscis a nice store with a great selection. The staff are very knowledgeable of their products. The prices are what you would expect for Grand Central Terminal. Try the Hudson Bay Corn Whiskey.

It's the shop i always use in nyc if i've to bring some bottles for a friend or any other occasion. The staff is ok and their knowledge of the business is at an european level (higher than usual in the US).

My favorite salesperson is the young woman from Sonoma, California. This place is so convenient for those of us visiting from out of town...with the Central Market just below.

Stopped in twice during our vacation to pick up some champagne and red wine. Both times the staff and. Wry helpful but not pushy at all. Didn't see any of the red wines I was looking for but found a nice selection - always good to try something new. I really appreciated that the keep a stock of cold bottles... More

I went to Grande Harvest to find an Amontillado. "What?" they said. "Amontillado." They had never heard of it. So I said, "it's like jerez." Never heard of that either. "Sherry?" Oh, that they heard of. The sales guy hands me a bottle of Savory & James; "this is the only one we have." Wrong. On the shelf they have... More

Just the other day I was trying to locate a few bottles of Dominus 1999 to buy for my wife as a Christmas present. I am an avid wine enthusiast who usually looks to spend less than $50 a bottle, but I wanted to splurge on this occasion. Quite a few wine shops I called were sold out of it... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
