One of my favorite parks in New York City! Beautiful and well-maintained gardens with foliage that explodes in bright colors in the fall. Walk paths are in good condition. The park sits at a higher elevation and slopes gently in places, making it ideal for cardio workouts. The elevation also allows for panoramic views of the Hudson River, New Jersey,... More

Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous park! There are places to sit, lovely pathways to walk on winding throughout the park, incredible views of the Hudson River/George Washington Bridge/New Jersey. It's so picturesque and lovely. There are great spots to sit and take it all in, meditate, relax, read a book, etc. I came just as the leaves were starting to turn and... More

Gorgeous park located in Upper Manhattan which is also home to the Cloisters Museum. Autumn is the best time of year to visit and see the beautiful foliage. You can pack a picnic while you enjoy the vistas of the Hudson River, a cool fall breeze and the amazing colors of the trees. What a quaint respite from the hustle... More

Beautiful park along the Hudson. Great views, especially when we visited in October when the leaves were turning.

A subway trip to 190th is rewarded by the Fort Tryon park and all its walks, gardens, and expansive views over the Hudson river to the Englewood Cliffs in New Jersey. You won't believe you are still in NYC. In minutes you can also walk up to the cloisters on the hill and experience all the medieval treasures it holds.... More

This park is located on top of a mountain on the north of the Island of Manhattan. It has a view of Manhattan below and the Hudson River. We brought lunch with us. Don't expect to find food vendors in the park surroundings. The museum is on the tip of the park "The Cloisters." You feel to be in a... More

Fort Tryon Park has it all. Breath taking views of the Hudson. Gorgeous gardens. Outdoor art installations. A world class museum. A charming restaurant. Spots for sports, picnics, and contemplation. Best sledding hills in the city. I love everything about this park and every hidden and surprising corner.

Fort Tryon Park is a public park that we access by either walking from Cabrini Boulevard or Fort Washington Avenue. There are basketball courts, kids play areas with enormous sprinklers, a beautiful floral path, numerous areas for hiking with views of the George Washington Bridge, the Fort Tryon Sir William Dog Run (largest in the city), The New Leaf restaurant,... Fort Tryon Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. There is a large terraced Heather Garden with panoramic views over the Hudson River - Calluna vulgaris was selected as the predominant plant so as not to obstruct the view. You can run or walk on the park's 8 miles of pathways, play on the lawns, and enjoy the city's... More
