You can see where the twin towers would have proudly stood. All the amazing different tall buildings

I wanted to see the skyline and what better way to get great pictures than to take them from the Staten Island Ferry. It is a free ride and easy to get on and take pictures. You can take them going and coming back. You have to get off and re board if you just want to take the ride... More

We went at 8 am so there was no line and the views were spectacular! We did not feel rushed or crowded..only went to the 86th floor Observation Deck. When we left about an hour later there were lines so very glad we went early.

Viewed from the Statue of Liberty and the ferry, this amazing view changed throughout the day from grey misty skies in the morning to bright blue sunny sky in the afternoon. This view usually has the twin towers disaster held in your mind so its great to the view graced by the spectacular World One tower.

I always suggest visiting Hoboken by using the PATH Train and then walking north along The Hudson. The Manhattan Skyline Views are absoluteley unbeatable

It's my desktop image ever since!... Take of the boat tours, and PLEASE do it at sun down... you'll get iconic images you won't forget. Specific boat trips will take you right up to Statue of Liberty for great pics.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
