Visited the market as part of our visit to the High Line. Great to combine together. I wish I hadn't made lunch plans or I would've definitely been in seventh heaven with all the cool restaurants.

Market, shops, food, and even a television studio, so you may get to see someone famous. Lots to do here.

The web site for Chelsea Mkt. said it opened at 7am! We got there around 9:30am and lots of the stores were still closed. It's an interesting place and is pretty but I expected it to all be open and also to have more shopping...More

Loved this place so eclectic and cute. Things are pricey though so you have to be selective. The Williamsburg flea at the back of the market is more reasonably priced. Can't wait to return

I would suggest you take the E Train on 7th Avenue and get off on 14th Street Station. Then walk over to 9th Avenue via either on 15th or 16th street. Have a great time!
