Interesting bar, but nothing compelling. Drinks are decently priced and cute. Narrow space makes awkward navigation, music is inconsistent in volume.

Great atmosphere with wonderful alcohol! They know their alcohol and they can offer drinks to meet your request (beyond their existing cocktail menu).

If the Flatiron Lounge is cool and hip, as other reviewers have suggested, it is certainly neither pretentious nor unfriendly. It is dark, it is very atmospheric, and the circular booths are the perfect size and shape for drawing a small crowd into a conversation. What is more impressive though is that the waiting and bar staff are just really... More

Went here for a few drinks on a Friday night, and loved the place. Walk through the large arch to get into an art deco throw back in time. The wine and cocktails were very acceptable, whilst the service was good as well. Just a note, the lounge isn't actually at the flat iron building it's a few blocks down... More

My wife & I recently stayed a few nights in Manahattan. I had been to this bar about 10 years ago & had a great experience. I am happy to report that nothing had changed... It still has an old speakeasy kind of feel to it. The staff were as friendly as ever (I always recommend sitting at the bar... More

Good quality drinks, great atmosphere. I didn't give this 5 stars because it's pricy if you don't go during happy hour and can be extremely loud when busy due to the shape of the interior. Sound just resinates

We found the Flatiron Lounge after dinner in the area. It's unimposing from outside but has an amazing interior. It's quite small and, as we were there on a Friday, quite busy and noisy. That would put me off most places, but here it just added to the atmosphere. The bartender was great and new his stuff. I had the... More

Went to Flatiron lounge this evening based on positive reviews from yelp and trip advisor. The waitress and bartenders are very rude. So many better places in NYC don't waste your time and money here. Drinks are average and over priced.

We were looking for a place to have great cocktails during the last night of our stay in NY. The drink menu at this establishment is very accomodating. We tried 4 different cocktails and they were all very good. Priced at $13 , they are well worth it. The only complaint we have is with the haughty hostess that we... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
