Theatre was great. We sat in upper balcony and the view of the stage was fine EXCEPT play was staged with a lot of stuff at front lip or in front of stafe. So we had to stand up.... all because some pretentious rain effect...More

We went to The Belasco to see The Glass Menagerie. A lovely old place it might be, but the balcony seats are not designated "limited view" - but should be. Half the stage is obscured by a combination of the big brass handrail and the...More

Saw a brilliant production of Tnenessee Williams' - "The Glass Managerie" at the Belasco. Sally Field and cast were brilliant! The Theatre was also a star! This is the largest collection of Tiffany Glass in NYC! Stunning! the staff were also very informative about the...More

Got to see Sally Field. Feel very fortunate to be able to see an actor of this caliber perform live. There was a cast of 4. The theater is charming. We sat in the balcony and was able to see and hear just fine.

These days the Broadway theatres are amplified and one misses the resonance of actors' voices. Seeing Glass Menagerie with real live, un-electrified sound was a real treat. Seeing Sally Field perform was a real experience--despite the minimalist staging she gave it her all. The spare...More
