The Greenwich Village Comedy Club is located in the cellar at 99 MacDougal Street and is the intimate setting for some of the best comedy shows in New York City. Because of our location in the village, you never know who will drop by. On any regular night, we feature a lineup full of our Top Headliners. These are the best comedians from New York City with special guests from all across the country. You've seen them on MTV, HBO, The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, The Daily Show, Last Comic Standing and more! 16 & over or 13+ with parents Two drink minimum - Alcohol NOT Required Individual comedian appearances subject to change without notice

I was surprised to see such poor reviews on this. I personally had a great time. I am not super familiar with the stand-up scene, but out of the the 7 comedians we saw, I would say only one or two didn't have the greatest of sets. The others kept me steadily laughing. I went on a Saturday night. The price is reasonable and the two drink minimum isn't bad. The waitress was super efficient. I would definitely go back again to check it out.

This is a good place to visit if you want to go to a comedy club. Tickets are reasonably priced and the acts were entertaining. The prices are reasonable. There was a two drink (per person) minimum the night we visited, but the bar selection was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. They do pack the customers in, so don't expect a lot of elbow room. If you're seated close to the stage the MC will joke around with you, so come with a sense of humor. Overall I do recommend a visit.

We had always wanted to catch a comedy club when in NYC but never seemed to make it. So very glad we did this time and we ended up here. Extremely intimate and an absolute blast!! One or two of the comedians were so-so but a couple also had me in tears. Overall good show and would go back!!

Few of the comedians were actually mildly funny. The venue itself was a disgrace, the most unfriendly and power hungry security I have ever encountered, refusing to let us go to the bathroom as we didn't pack our stuff fast enough while we were being herded out of the venue after refusing to let us take or finish our completely overpriced drinks. Got really agressive and started pushing us, after we tried to explain to him that we were waiting in line and would leave immediately after using the bathroom. Ruined the mediocre evening.

Unfunny no name comedians. Price gouge charging two drinks even though was never asked to order second drink. Staff not the friendliest. Go somewhere else for laughs

Wanna see a stand-up show in NYC - go to another place!
Most of the performers were so bad, that for the first time I was waiting for a comedy show to end. People on stage were mostly drunk and far from being funny.
Got a few laughs but that's not good enough for 20$ and two drink minimum (another 20$ - really overpriced).

Asked by a person standing outside. Price went from $20 to $10. Thought we give it a try. The comics were horrible. There is a two drink minimum. I thought it was a rip off. One of the comedians was so sad that people were looking at their phones. He got into back and forth with a guest who told him he was being sad! I'm pissed off.

Comics were great. Club was dishonest. Bought a Groupon that clearly stated included admission and one drink. When the bill came they charged us for two drinks and said the third drink was free. There was no third drink, the waitress never came around to take an order for a third drink. It was deceptive. Way to many other clubs in the city.

Having been to some famous comedy clubs in London this was a bit of a shock. You are taken down to a basement which is really dark which means you can only see the drinks menu by candle light and then you HAVE to buy two drinks per person on top off your entry fee. I saw the name of this club in the new york pass book so thought it would be good but it was a bit seedy and not that friendly to be honest. The show lasted barely 1hr 30 mins and then they herd you out before you've finished your drink so they can start the next show. The first comedian tonight was great and the others were OK too. I'd happily see the comedians again just not at this venue.
