Overview

More
Long before she was Carole King, chart-topping music legend, she was Carol Klein, Brooklyn girl with passion and chutzpah. She fought her way into the record business as a teenager and, by the time she reached her twenties, had the husband of her dreams and a flourishing career writing hits for the biggest acts in rock 'n' roll. But it wasn't until her personal life began to crack that she finally managed to find her true voice.

The story line is spectaular. The acting terrific. Some of the tribute acts were better than others, and since they are such an intricate part of the play they keep it from 5 stars.

A must see - great music, interesting storyline, and superb performances. If you like Carole King, this is first-rate. Among the top three shows we saw; my wife says is number one.

My wife had long wanted to see this show, but we hadn't done so while the original cast was performing. I don't see how they could have been any better than the cast we saw. As Carole King, Chilina Kennedy was superb, and the rest...More
