Loved this museum. Over three floors, two exhibitions and the top floor were artists' studio/workshops. Even the staircase was a work of art. I loved the shop - such lovely pieces to look at and purchase of course. But what I really enjoyed was the...More

My second visit to the museum was for the mannequin show which gave me a whole new appreciation for simple story mannequins. The presentation of exhibits is detailed but quick. The jewelry exhibit is fun and interesting. This is a small, under-appreciated museum, in the...More

The MAD Museum at Columbus Circle has extraordinary exhibits and local artists demonstrate various crafts of high quality and museum standard. The Robert's restaurant on the 6th floor ended our time there seeing the Estes photojournalism scenes of NYC. This is my second visit there...More

This is surely a fine small museum. What we saw on two floors was excellent -- especially the work by Estes -- but there was not very much to see. The museum was changing exhibitions, which left two or three floors unavailable to visitors. So...More

See Richard Estes exhibit while it's still there! One hour docent tour (included with price of admission) is an excellent intro to the museum space, collection and special exhibits.

There are six floors. Told to start on 6th and work way down. Found it very interesting when we joined a tour on 4th floor. Too bad they were on their way up. If you can be sure to join the tour at the beginning.

This is a great destination for a two hours visit or so. There is currently a Richard Estes exhibition on show and its really stunning. The artist's photorealistic paintings from all around Manhattan are absolutely fantastic. The museum shop is nice, too.

Look up, look around, look down, look behind. This is a lovely museum so very centrally located and clean and bright. It has drawers of JEWELS, too! Look! Look!

The current collection here did not interest me that much. There is not a great deal to see in this museum and with only one main collection I was somewhat bored (and glad to be done) by the end. I wouldn't return, as for the...More
