Great fun

The staff is delightful. The piano player was amazingly talented and fun. The singers were both regulars and newbies and everyone was having a great time!

What a terrific find! So much fun- all the bartenders and waitresses sing like they belong on Broadway ! Worth the wait to get in!

I moved up to NYC with my gf and one of our friends told us to come to Brandy's to enjoy live music and a great atmosphere. I've been living in new york for 5 months now and that night at Brandy's is still my favorite night ever!! To this day, people always ask me, "where should I go when... More

We visited this little bar on the recommendation of a friend. Small, with a great atmosphere and some brilliant entertainment, particularly when the barman turned out to be one of the best live singers we've heard. Very friendly and not too expensive. Bogs could be a bit sharper but so what.

small drinks, a piano, singer and lots of joy. What else do you need for a nice evening? We stop in this small bar with no expectation, get out really happy. We had a great time.

Nice people. good cocktails and perfect atmosphere to spend a night in upper east side. Music is the guide-line: on demand or following the inspiration of the pianist. You like to sing? Welcome! Just one rule: don't forget the tips for the artists...

Typically American and especially New York ! A place dedicated for only singing and music (piano). No dancing or eating here. The bartender(s) and the waiteress take turn to sing too. You can make requests... Usually the piano man has a huge repertoire varying from Frank Sinatra to Cold Play to Lady Gaga. But always remember, tip the piano man... More

Crowds are thinner, apparently staff is making less money and thereby more tense and surly. It's kinda depressing there when it's almost empty (except on weekends now with bridge and tunnel folks from New Jersey). Meanwhile the talent has declined, the energy has dropped, the attitude of staff is poor. The pressure to tip has risen as crowd size and... More

We went here on a Sunday evening as a friend recommended it. The staff were all very friendly and the final drinks bill was a lot less than we expected. The piano player and singers (the bar staff!) were great and even on a Sunday evening it was packed. No food though so eat first....

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
