is a short walk that takes you to the Roosevelt Island. The cabin is large and therefore there is room. The trick is to avoid hours of the morning and afternoon, because this bond is also used by residents of the island. So in these...More

Our driver from the airport pointed this out and said it was worth a trip! How right he was, you can cycle round the island or take a bus tour, we stopped off for lunch and enjoyed the views, prices were reasonable and the trip...More

We purchased the unlimited ride metro card and therefore it seemed silly not to take the Roosevelt Island Tram. (Even if you don't it's fairly inexpensive for what is a very unique journey!) There are lovely views to be had from the tram, good for...More

You can use your Metro card to board the tram, lovely views there and back. We had lovely weather and spent some time on RI walking by the water. Very calm place after the madness of Times Square.

The wait for the tram was much longer than the actual ride. The views are pretty good and it's a nice change of pace if you're in the area. Roosevelt Island is a nice place to stroll. If you have an unlimited MTA Subway pass...More

We went on a Sunday, was very nice to look over Manhattan and to be over the ocean. It's also cheap, paying with a metro card the same fare as paying for a train.
