Went to see aladdin in this lovely theatre, had a good seat on the edge of the mezzanine level (cheap seats) with a very good view. We were given a free program which I thought was a nice touch. Seats though we're a tad uncomfortable, a bit on the skimpy side. The show was brilliant! Amazing costumes.

The theater is good. Comfortable seats, and the temperature was good. A bit on the cold side like most. The staff are friendly and helpful. We saw Aladdin and loved it! Highly recommend!

Saw Aladdin with the family. Lovely ornate theatre and just the right size. Loved the feeling of a bit of history in this building. Comfy seats but taller guests might have a slight issue. Good sight lines. Show was great. Genie was the show stealer, but great performances all around. Would definitely recommend.

Came to see Aladdin. The theater is an ornate beauty. Site line are great, and you feel very close to the stage. The only knock is, as with so many theaters this age, legroom in the balconies can be a bit tight. But, a great place to see a show.

We were here to see Aladdin and came away impressed with the theatre as well. The seats were somewhat larger than other theatres. The theatre is very ornate. The viewing area seems larger than many others as well. Despite being in the middle of everything there is an abundance of parking garages in the area as well. We would absolutely... More

Me and my partner visited the New Amsterdam theatre to watch Aladdin whilst on a city break in New York. The broadway musical was absolutely outstanding. The venue was stunning, and overall it was a fantastic experience. The drinks and snacks were slightly expensive, but it was expected. I would highly recommend tickets to watch a Broadway show here.

Hands clapping, great show. I didn't think it would beat the "Disney" version boy was I wrong. The cast incredible the theater, beautiful, clean the whole atmosphere was the highlight of our trip. Everyone should see one show at some point on Broadway. Nothing else like it anywhere else in the world. Enjoy the show....

It was the last show on my list during this stay in NYC. The theater is right in the center of ... everything that is near Broadway, Times Square and 42nd Street. Lively area!... One of the ushers was a bit pushy and quite arrogant and rude refusing to give me the Show Bill (!!!). He said, just go where... More

This is my favorite Broadway theatre. This theatre was built in 1903; you can feel the history. Disney bought the theatre in the 90's; it was falling apart. They restored it to look as it did in the early 1900's. Don't expect Mickey Mouse all over the place. There are intimate and elegant bars and alcoves. The staircase is majestic.... More

I want to apologize but i would have love to have taken my family to see Alladin but after spending quite a bit of money on flights and hotels just to get here, i simply cannot fathom spending $1000 for a family of 4 for a 2 hour show. The prices have got to come down.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
