Possibly the smallest Broadway Theatre (I'd guess it JUST meets the requirement) and a great space to see a show. Theatre in the round is rare and it's nice to experience theatre where everyone in the audience is very close to the stage. (In Transit is also a great show - go see it if you like a cappella music.)

There are no bad seats in this theater. I am 5'4" and feel squished in every theater we go to. I don't know how anyone, not considered petite, can even agree to go to most theaters. Next time I might see what is playing here... just to have great, roomy seats in a small theater. We saw Fun Home which... More

Love this theatre! We saw Spelling Bee here a few years ago and loved the way the theatre is set up. You are actually part of the action and there is not a bad seat in the house. Most recently, we saw Fun Home, which was amazing, but the setting helped create the intimate and powerful feelings that came up... More

The Circle in the Square is conveniently located in the theatre district with lots of parking lot choices nearby. I thought the seats were comfortable and the theatre in the round experience was great for the play we saw.. We saw Fun Home, an excellent play which won Best Musical in 2015. The ushers were all very polite; when they... More

We went to Circle in The Square to see Fun Home. It is as the names implies theater in the round. I remember when as a college student I went to the Circle in The Square when it was housed in a tent in Washington Square. It is still a very intimate setting and there are no bad seats since... More

For Broadway, this is about as intimate as you can get. My guess is they're JUST over the minimum needed. It's theatre in the round, so there really are no bad seats. Fun Home is amazing! Go see it if you can!

We saw Fun Home here, and thanks to the reviews on TA, we chose level 200 seats, odd side. We were in row F seats 239,241 and the views were very good. It would have been better to be more in the center of the 200 section, but these were fine for being discounted seats. I agree with others that... More

Love this theater and the staging for Fun Home is incredible. Not to be missed ! Seats were comfortable and for once adequate women's restroom.

The theatre is in the round is an intimate concept where ever seat gives you a great view of the show. The highest row is not too high so that you feel like you're right there on stage. There are no curtains, so the scenes change by furniture coming up or down through the stage floor.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
