We stopped by the boathouse today while in Central Park to take a boat out on the water. It was the perfect day for it. Absolutely gorgeous out. The views were breathtaking. Took lots of pics. It’s a must if you are in the park.
We came here on a perfect sunny day.
Lunch was ok. Wasn’t the best food but we enjoyed the setting looking out over the lake in Central Park.
The wine list is very good so we did end up drinking way to much and had...More
My mom and I took a spontaneous gondola ride and it was simply amazing! The gondolier even let me try and row the gondola (WHICH IS WAY HARDER THAN IT LOOKED) We had some good laughs and a simply wonderful time.
As it features in so many films, you cannot really visit central park without stopping at the boathouse. Your options are essentially 1) Hire a boat - entrance to the left pay your money and deposit, return the boat and receive your deposit back! 2)...More
We had to wait approximately 45 minutes for a table which was definitely worth it. The food, wine and atmosphere were all very good. Nice and friendly staff.
The view over The Lake with its boats is lovely. We had a very nice lunch.
My wife and I came here after visiting the Met and strolling through Central Park. I've seen people boating on this lake in a few television/movie shows. I'm glad we did it as it was a thoroughly enjoyable summertime experience in this magnificent city!
We try to go to the Central Park Boathouse Restaurant every time we are in Manhattan. The setting is fabulous, the food is really good and the service is wonderful. But, it is in very high demand so a reservation is important. Also try to...More
We had Clay as our server and he was awesome. We went to this place (as everyone does I am sure) for the scenery vs the food but I have to say, the food delivered. We had the crab cake, seafood pasta and burrata- all...More
Just hired a boat. $15 per hour plus a $20 Deposit. Boat was fine, aluminium rowing boat, oars afixed so dilberts don’t drop them in the lake.
I rowed whilst the boy and my wife gave me frankly awful directional guidance (you row sitting backwards...More
Visited the Loeb Boathouse restaurant for dinner this past weekend. The setting by the Central Park Lake is beautiful and the food I found to be excellent. The service was also excellent, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.
The only reason I give a four instead of...More

Depends on the time of day and the day of the week. Week days in August there is little to no wait. At weekends, you could have to wait 15-30 mins, but you could get lucky and find no wait. I've gone on various days usually around lunchtime, and have never encountered more than a 10-15 min wait, but friends have had to wait longer.
