Don't Tell Mama is a piano bar. We love it and come here every time we're in NY. Piano players are great and sometimes the waitresses sing as well. So much fun

Stopped in quickly for a drink to see and hear the fun. The Piano bar is a rather small and cozy location, very casual and certainly not very fancy. The music and atmosphere were nice, although while I was there I was fairly subdued with no singing. However I can see this being a nice place to visit after a... More

We spotted this place, back in March when we were in NYC. Our 10 year old daughter was with us, so it was a no go...on that trip. This time it was Mommy and Daddy's trip...so we made it a point to hit this place for some NYC night time fun. A very cool laid back place. We did not... More

Had the best New York City experience ..... 'Don't Tell Mamma' ... great food and the accompanying lounge with Broadway actors serving drinks and highlighting their talent is better than any sterile show you will see on 46th (where this place is also)...... FABULOUS.... do yourself a favour and go here for an affordable and great dinner and then mosey... More

this is a very cool place to have a drink and watch the best broadway voices sing your night away, is super close to times square so you can always hop there and have a couple of cocktails, go there with your friends.

We came based on review of the prix fixe menu. The $35 options made this deal terrible. In some cases, the price would have been cheaper to order the three courses a la carte off the menu. As a result, we opted to just order entrees and drinks. One of us ordered an Old Fashioned - a pretty standard drink... More

We stopped by the piano bar after catching a show on Broadway. The pianist was fantastic! Very talented, very funny, very engaging. The bartenders and wait staff all joined in at different points of the evening and they were great, too. They also encouraged lots of audience participation which was, at times, hilarious. We didn't eat there so I can't... More

Was a quaint little restaurant with a music bar as well. We had the garlic bread and it was amazing. my GF had the shrimp and Lobster ravioli and I had the Chilean sea bass. Both were very good. We ended with the New York style cheesecake and it was good.

Booked pre theatre - place was packed - service was slow, my starter was served and finished before the other two arrived and from what turned up food wise there was no cooking going on - looked and tasted pre bought - disappointing !

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
