Take your chance with a little uncertainty for the chance to have once in a lifetime standup experience! The best part about this place is that anyone could show up. We went not expecting much, and out of nowhere Judd Apatow comes up and does an amazing 15 minute set. We never thought we would see a multi-million dollar movie... More

We love going to the cellar when we're in NY. Always a top notch lineup. Great value for your money.

Where else can you go out for a couple hours and see top rate comedians (SNL, Comedy Central, big screen) and have a couple drinks for $25 or less, especially in NYC? The cover charge is $12-20 depending on the day and time and drinks are very reasonable. Beer is $5-6 and $8 for liquor. There is a two drink/item... More

Highly recommended for couples or small groups (no entry for more than 8), but pre-order and arrive early - or you might get a bad sit, and there are some although the place is very small. The food and drinks are OK, pay attention that there is a cover price + 2 items minimum. All and all - go for... More

Took my husband here for his birthday. First and last visit. He is a big fan of standup and he never has a bad time at a show. Huge disappointment here. The doormen were condescending as people grew impatient of being lined up on the corner of the block in the cold rain - even with reservations. Not sure if... More

Heaps and heaps of laughter and variety. The shows worth attending fill up fast so be sure to book your tickets well in advance. I recommend the late night on Friday or Saturday if you want to have a chance at the thrill of a notable surprise guest. Please note in advance that in addition to the ticket, there is... More

Had an AMAZING time! Went to the late show Thursday night (The Nasty Show), reserved tickets a few weeks before. Their system is very efficient, you give your name to the bouncer to get your reserved tickets( no reservation? There is a standby line) they open the doors about 10mins before showtime, usher immediately seats you and takes your drink... More

I've been to NYC a few times yet this was my first at a comedy show. Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. Went to the 7pm show. It was 1.5 hours with several acts. $20 cover plus two drink minimum. Really well organized - you order drinks from your table and pay after the show. Be warned the room is in... More

This was a night I will remember. Great show. Everything well organized. Only minus was how quickly you had to leave after the show, for next show.

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
