Such a fountain is a pleasant surprise to find in this very busy part of the city. The trickling waters offer relaxation for the weary traveler.

This visitor's kiosk provides maps, brochures, promotional offerings, and other information for tourists and others. Everything at the kiosk is free. It's a great place to pick up maps and other written info.

This park was recently renovated to its old glory. The lighting fixtures are beautiful and the fountain is just amazing. It's a nice place to sit and have lunch in New York City.

Before you tackle theBrooklyn Bridge, which begins right across from this park, have a little break, sit downan relax and enjoy the peacefulness of that park. Some of the free walking tours begin there.

There are lots that are okay in price closer to either of the rivers. It would be a short walk to City Hall Park from there.

Yes, absolutely. The pedestrian walkway is right there. Just a tad SE. It's a must when you visit lower Manhattan. Enjoy and bring your camera.
