this is one of the most fun things to do while in NYC. There was no rushing & the tastings were very enjoyable. Susann presents a history lesson along with foodie stories.

I was really looking forward to this tour based on reviews & having gone on other food tours around the world but ... Susan is a lovely, enthusiastic guide but the food was not anything special, the tour dragged a bit & the main issue...More

My girlfriend and I expected a lot from the tour since we got a lot of recommendations from our friends. And what can I say, we weren't disappointed at all. Susanne was a wonderful guide with a huge knowledge. We had great food, a nice...More

First time for my sister and I in NYC and we absolutely loved Susan's tour. Although it was a very rainy day that was no problem at all. The tour was so insightful and incredibly interesting. We learnt so much about the Jewish culture and...More

The tour took in the Essex St, Chinatown and little Italy area. Susan was hugely knowledgeable and able to answer our questions about the people and the areas. I would call it more of a neighbourhood tour than a real foodie one, although the tasters...More

Susan is knowledgeable, funny, and attentive to her tour participants. She limits her tours to eight guests, and pays special attention to their desires. I would highly recommend The Enthusiastic Gourmet.

Susan knows history and she knows food, I also loved her unimposing style and that the group size is so small! She adapted to the demographics of our group and it was indeed a very pleasant experience!

Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and
smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like

stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up
at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from
the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many
bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where
