Neighbourhood: Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Saw Dead Outlaw last night. Bought the tix at the TKTS booth, “second row Mezz”, which was the last row as there was a black curtain behind us blocking off the rest of the Mezzanine l. Not sure why as the place was sold out.

Great sight lines and acoustics and seats were comfortable.

I brought my wife on a date here on Saturday for the showing of The Way She Spoke and the play was awesome. The only thing is, the seats are too damn narrow for big folks like me. I'm 6'3" and 255 lbs and I could barely fit in the seat comfortably. Plus, I had a partial knee replacement and it was sure as heck bothering me since the play didn't have intermission.

They waste your time and mess up your plans.

They sent me free tickets 8 days before the day of the performance (confirmed tickets; no disclaimer that they are subject to availability). Then, on the day of the performance they cancelled my tickets "due to availability" without even offering me tickets for another day.

Tonight I saw a wonderful new off-Broadway show called Himself and Nora-a musical about James Joyce-Simply put, this show is excellent! The story was fabulous, the music was delightful, and the cast included two highly- talented actors, Matt Bogart and Whitney Bashor in the staring roles. The show runs thru Labor Day and for all of you New Yorkers/NYC visitors, this show is a "must" if you want to see great theater. I really hope that this becomes one of those success stories and ends up on Broadway. I am not a theater critic, just a humble New Yorker who loves good theater and this, for me, is one of those rare gems........original and entertaining.

Nutcracker Rouge created by Company xiv is a blast, if you are willing to let go of your uptight view of the world.
Certainly worth following this young troupe with their other productions.

The venue itself is intimate without being crowded, and is in fact very very comfortable. Drinks are slightly overpriced however for New York and Greenwich Village I'd say they were probably average. Staff are very friendly and highly accommodating for anyone wishing to wait and have a Playbill signed.
Looking forward to seeing other shows in this venue.

We saw the Girls and Boys play. A small theatre but I was comfortable in the center of the last row. Good acoustic, helpful staff. If you can, then purchase the tickets closer to the stage.

The theatre is surrounded by the awesome vegan restaurants; plan your time so you can enjoy the delicious meal either before or after the show.

The seats were reasonably comfortable but like most theaters getting through the rows can be bothersome. The aisle is off center and does not split the theater in half...so keep that in mind if getting aisle seats. For the larger of the tow sections there is no row G - so row H will have plenty of legroom. The nicer amenities for a Village theatre include reasonably sized restrooms one floor down, a bar and a mezzanine.

Beautiful theater in a beautiful location and very easy to get to from 4th street station. The production was unbelievable and even though I was exhausted from walking around the city all day....my eyes were glued to the stage. I was a little disappointed that it didn't start at 5pm like it was advertised but that was so very minor. Can't wait to see what they do next!
