We try to stop in every time we are in town - it's that good of a place to shop. We love the breads and cheeses and always end up finding things we can't get back home. They have a parking deal with a place across the street so it's easy to get here if you must drive.

I was staying at a friends apartment literally around the corner and off Broadway from Zabar's. wandered in to check it out and $60 later had cheese, coffee, Spanish cold cuts, bread etc. It is comparable to the Philly's Italian Market only it is warmer and in one building. Had great cheese, meat and fish selections and a ton of... More

A visit to Zabar's is a must for the most discerning shopping list. Order the power kale salad - you can thank me next time. So many delicious prepared foods, specialty cheeses galore, and an upstairs full of kitchen toys that would make any foodie swoon. I could also mention the amazing selection of smoked fish and premium varieties of... More

We passed here whilst exploring the area and so glad we went in! I have never seen so many different foods in one place. We had a turkey salad roll, croissant, hot pizza slice and hot cheese, ham and tomato sandwich on rosemary bread. All tasted amazing. The store was so busy but no wonder with everything on offer. This... More

Zabar's was recommended by a NYPD officer for their bagels. We were not disappointed! Be sure to visit their adjacent market. Their selection of olives and cheese is jaw dropping! Also have fresh baked bagels, breads, pastries and so much more.

If you're in the neighbourhood, Zabars is always worth a visit. Check out the delicious food on display and see if you can resist buying something to nibble on.

We had great breakfast here. The shop is small but always crowded. I ate carrot cake muffin and it was superb!

We bought lunch from here and ate it next door in the restaurant. Food was excellent, plenty to choose from, all at a reasonable price.

Zabar's is a treasure house of food and kitchen ware, but the dining area leaves a lot to be desired. The way to order food seems disorganised, and the tables are cluttered and not cleaned often enough. (You have to depend on previous occupants clearing up after themselves.) My croissant was fine, but the scrambled eggs and home fries were... More

Overcrowded place with fair amount of choices but terrible service . There are much better choices in NYC to grab something to eat
