Guests insist I bring them to Zabar's for chocolate crossaints (I'm often asked to bring Zabar's chocolate crossaints when I'm traveling to see friends/family), though there's plenty of other great baked goods (e.g., rugulah, babka, muffins) & pre-prepared foods to satisfy any hunger pain. The busy & often-crowded corner cafe carries some products not found in the store (& visa-versa)... More

The service was fantastic, and atmosphere was good to. I sat at a long table down the centre that several different groups sat at and ate together. Soup was absolutely amazing and the bread was good.

We had lunch here. It is very good value and the food was nice, especially the bagels and coffee. There are not a lot of seats so you have to take what you can get but that is all part of the experience. It is worthwhile checking out the store next to the café to see the extensive produce and... As this place was round the corner from our hotel, we couldn't help but go in nearly every day! This place has everything, we even brought 4lb of fresh ground coffee back to the UK. We had coffee and bagels for breakfast most days in the cafe and got to know the regulars. The only disappointment is that they don't... More

We try to stop in every time we are in town - it's that good of a place to shop. We love the breads and cheeses and always end up finding things we can't get back home. They have a parking deal with a place across the street so it's easy to get here if you must drive.

I was staying at a friends apartment literally around the corner and off Broadway from Zabar's. wandered in to check it out and $60 later had cheese, coffee, Spanish cold cuts, bread etc. It is comparable to the Philly's Italian Market only it is warmer and in one building. Had great cheese, meat and fish selections and a ton of... More

A visit to Zabar's is a must for the most discerning shopping list. Order the power kale salad - you can thank me next time. So many delicious prepared foods, specialty cheeses galore, and an upstairs full of kitchen toys that would make any foodie swoon. I could also mention the amazing selection of smoked fish and premium varieties of... More

We passed here whilst exploring the area and so glad we went in! I have never seen so many different foods in one place. We had a turkey salad roll, croissant, hot pizza slice and hot cheese, ham and tomato sandwich on rosemary bread. All tasted amazing. The store was so busy but no wonder with everything on offer. This... More

Zabar's was recommended by a NYPD officer for their bagels. We were not disappointed! Be sure to visit their adjacent market. Their selection of olives and cheese is jaw dropping! Also have fresh baked bagels, breads, pastries and so much more.
