My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to have a bite and a few drinks and came across this place. The food was tasty and the drinks were delicious and eclectic. Our Waiter was very pleasant and had a nice personality.

The Growler gets right the three things you need in a good bar, so much so that this unassuming bar in the heart of tourist Stone Street has become something of a unexpected favorite. The fact it's always been quiet and peaceful during our visits...More

My husband and I stopped here while taking care of paperwork in downtown Manhattan. To me, the name suggested a growler of beer, but clever play on words, they love dogs. ( Think dog decor) The inside is somewhat dark, reminiscent of old style bars,...More

We visited twice, both times mid-afternoon, bar staff great on visit #1 but not so hot on visit #2, when bartender preferred to keep checking his phone and keep customers waiting. Great selection of beers, good bar food.

Great local (NY and PA) beer selection. Bar tenders who are patient and explain everything. Know a little something about cocktails or micro brew before coming here tho. This place isn't for the amateur. Growler service here is superb.

Have been here twice on trips to NYC to visit friends, once for Sunday brunch and once for Monday lunch. Friendly staff. Decent beer selection. Pleasant outdoor seating. Good food (big fan of the roasted cauliflower). And, always appreciated in Manhattan - reasonable prices, especially...More
