I stayed in Chinatown, so stopping to see this statue wasn't a big deal at all. It's in the middle of a little plaza in the center of Chinatown, and while Chinatown is usually pretty chaotic, but this plaza wasn't busy and was a piece...More

Confucius is a famous person in Chinese culture so if you're around it's worth a quick stop to check it out and read it

We walked past the statue on our way to dim sum without stopping but glad we paused on our second pass by. The Confucian Proverb about "great harmony" describes a world to which we should aspire.

Great place on the less visit side of china town. So if you are there do not miss this place (on Bowery). Even though the place is not well taken care.

So typical of New York City to always remember the immigrant groups who settled there and to pay respect to their traditions, customs and religions. Once in dispute, this statue is an accepted part of the Chinatown landscape.

The location of the statue is actually on the southwest section of Confucius Plaza. It's obvious the connection with Chinatown and the statue. However, it appears to be overlooked and forgotten by the community.

Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and
smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like
entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle
that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families
stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up
at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from
the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many
bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where
