Lovely little bar at the Refinery hotel. Superb jazz, great cocktails, friendly service. Recommend asking for a mix platter of both the cheese and meat- it’s incredible!

My friend and I had just arrived in New York and only had a few minutes for a drink and a snack before going to an 8:00 PM show. At the Refinery Hotel where we were staying, this cool, cozy bar was the perfect spot....More

We started off at this hotel's rooftop bar on a Saturday night and while nice, found it to be very crowded. After a day on the streets filled with people this felt like more of the same. The lobby bar was a different story. We...More

Just arrived in New York, from Washington, miserable rainy night. I knew Tara O’Grady was performing in Winnie’s, at the Refinery Hotel, so walked down from 50th Street and found a seat. The bar was packed and nicely noisy. Ordered a decent cocktail and sat...More

This place was a pleasant surprise of a discovery. Even though it is strictly speaking a hotel lobby, the drinks were good, staff courteous and the music excellent. They even went out their way to accommodate our large group last minute without a booking and...More

I've been to Winnie's previously, and really enjoyed it, so brought my wife this time. The experience was just ok. The curtain to the bar was left open, so quite noisy at the entrance with people walking in and out. The singer was good, but...More

We were staying in the hotel so, of course, we had to sample a few drinks here. I had a gin martini and a drink similar to a Tom Collins. The hostess was sweet and there was a live band playing. The bar was often...More

The whole point of the refinery is mixing new and old, and Winnie's is no exception and does so well. Once a week Winnie's Jazz Bar turns into a Jazz/R&B, and these evenings are awesome. Always a talented and classy line up.
