OnBoard New York Tours operates the Only Comprehensive Guided Tour of New York City. Our tour guides hop off the shuttle bus with you at each attraction, showing you the city in detail. Smaller groups make better tours, so we limit group size on our tours and use smaller shuttles that allow more interaction with your guide.

If I am honest, I debated long and hard about spending $55 to go on the Freedom Tour before I went to NYC. I was unable to get a free pass from the 9/11 Memorial website so I had no option but to join a tour. I do hope though that tour companies are not simply making a quick buck... More

The unforecasted protest at Times Square that night created chaos in the streets, but somehow Onboard Tours not only satisfied our Night Lights tour expectations, they exceeded them! We started late because of the gridlock but an Onboard guide from a previous tour, who should have been done for the day, stayed with our small group and did a great... More

This is a great company. Our contact person Linette was great. Easy to contact, customized our tour for us. Our guide ,Jason was excellent. Touched base with us the day before. He was right on time in the morning . He was very well informed . He clicked with our group of 18 ladies and gave us a great first... More

I took the Freedom Tour on a Saturday, which included the NYC Water Taxi to the financial district, a ticket to the 9/11 Memorial and other sites. As this was only the second Saturday that the 9/11 Memorial was included in the tour, the tour guide did not seem real organized on the procedure. We only about 20 minutes in... More

We did the Freedom tour on 26 September. The tour was good, no problem keeping up, but we had expected the tour to last for 5 hours (11 am - 4 pm) but we were back at the theatre ad off the bus as 2.45 pm. The memorial was a highlight, very moving. If you can get tickets to go... More

Our tour guide, "Brooklyn Jim", is an incredibly FUNNY character, very charismatic, & knowledgeable (I'm from NYC & didn't know most of the things he told us!). You can sense his DEEP love & pride for the City while he mixes his colorful narratives with New York's history, hilarious and touching stories, his personal experiences, and my favorite...NYC mob stories.... The Premium See It All Tour was a disappointment in that it was not well-planned and not thought-out and it showed. Onell, our guide, was very nice, but the tour itself was poorly timed and planned. We chose the tour because it is promoted as a hop off, hop on tour and does not mention the quantity of walking and... More

My sister and I went to NYC yesterday and decided we were going to take a tour. There is so much to see and you can lose a lot of time if you dont have a plan so On Board Tours was our decision. It was the best decision we made. We boarded a bus with Mike. I have to... More

If you do nothing else while visiting NYC for the first time, take the See It All tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, informative and interesting. The tour gives you a good overview of the city and will help you decide where you want to spend more time. Don't fall for all those guys hawking the hop-on hop-off tours on... More

We very much enjoyed our tour with OnBoard but have a few suggestions. The time allotted for lunch at the marina before boarding the boat was not enough. The food court lines were long and we ended up having to inhale our food to meet the group for boarding the boat. Our guide was very knowledgeable but didn't give an... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
