BOB’S BIRDING CENTRAL PARK 24th September 2018 There were so many birds that Bob was aware of that filled the bird watching morning I undertook. He knew where to find specific birds and pointed out those flying above on their migratory paths. He was able...More

Thank You! That was a fun day...and for anyone who has never seen a hummingbird (they often backwards fly), Central Park is a great place to see them in August-October. Yes we have other special birds to see - but don't forget the many NYC...More

Thanks Larse! Great to meet someone from Denmark. And yes, there will always be more birds (and species) seen on the earlier walk - birds are more active then, especially on hot days...it was very warm (90f or 31C) when Larse was here in Central...More

What a wonderful way to start the day, walking through Central Park with Bob and a friendly group of other enthusiasts. It was a beautiful day and we walked all around the park, off the paths, and saw about a dozen varieties including a pine...More

Hi New Hampshire people! Thank You for your kind words - and yes you might have seen the first bird (Pine Siskin) of an historic finch flight this autumn. We look forward to similar bird species from the north including Evening Grosbeaks, Crossbills and more....More

Excellent, leisure walk through the park seeing birds (& trying not to get run over by cyclists). Great bunch of people, lots of knowledge and enthusiasm and a real plesure to be with. People from all over the place, sharing a common interest. Bob knows...More

Yes in July we were occasionally dodging people on two wheels (bicyclists). Starting in August we start dodging things with two wings: migrant birds are back in force and heading south. Thank You for your kind review! We hope our paths cross again...

Thank You Neil! We enjoy quite much our UK visitors - we just wish you could have stayed an hour or so more - right after you left we had three Red-breasted Nuthatches together - quite probably an indication of a major southbound flight of...More

Thank You Jesse! We had a wonderful time together seeing those birds - good luck back in the Sacramento area - and see you when you visit us in Central Park again.

Thank You ever so much for the kind review. For folks reading these reviews in summer (after 10 June and until early August), we are entering the "slow" time in Central Park. In May I could bring in up to ca. 23 warbler species on...More

Best and easiest birding ever (and I have seen a few places) with lots of warblers very close in and often at low level. Bob attracts the warblers excellently with the recordings and sounds he makes, excellent explanations and super identification skills (even without bins)....More
