We scheduled a full day tour of NYC. Our tour guide, Jose, met us in our hotel lobby right on time to begin our tour. Emerrit, our driver utilized a large SUV that provided plenty of comfort. It's impossible to list all the sites visited but we particularly enjoyed the tour through the Upper East Side, Columbia University, Harlem and a walking tour of Central Park in the morning. Jose's vast knowledge of the areas visited and their history was impressive and quite interesting. From there we visited Little Italy, some Jewish neighborhoods and Chinatown. We walked these neighborhoods with Jose and sampled some wonderful ethnic foods during this time. Next we ventured crossed the Brooklyn Bridge into the DUMBO area of Brooklyn. A walking tour of this area allowed for some wonderful pictures of the skyline and bridges. Before leaving Brooklyn we visited a wood fired pizzeria where the slices were incredible. Toward the end of our tour we visited the lobby of the Chrysler Building to see its incredible Art Deco architecture and then went to the historic Grand Central Terminal which was truly amazing. Again, we saw too many places to mention them all but the day was a great success utilizing the time we had. Jose did an excellent job of leading the tour and Emerrit was superb in allowing us to do the walking segments and then picking us up near our end point. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and certainly recommend Yellow Moon Tourto anyone looking for a tour of NYC.

We have booked three bus tours with Yellow Moon in the past year and a half and we can't wait for our next one! Tom and Dahlia are both excellent! We host undergraduate students here in New York City, and both Tom and Dahlia are able to get our younger bunch engaged and motived to learn about and explore NYC from the eyes of a local. They manage to strike a perfect balance of humor and comedy with deep, informative history and context of the various locations across Manhattan. Of all the activities we do, Yellow Moon Tours is a highlight for many of our students (including us staff). In addition to the quality tour guides, YMT always provides an excellent private bus and driver who is always able to get us across the city with what feels like minimal traffic impact (truly a miracle). I would also like to give Rowan a shout out as he is the coordinator that always assists us with booking and making sure our tours are top notch. Thanks Rowan!

As this was our first trip to New York, and we only had 5 days, we decided to do a half day guided tour to give us an overview of some of what New York has to offer. So pleased we did! Our guide, Katie, was an absolute gem, and is a credit to the company. We were met at our hotel bang on time, and transferred to a private car, which was how we got around for the next 4 hours. Katie gave us a brilliant overview of the city, and was so helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It really helped us establish what we wanted to do for the next few days, and gave us tasters of lots of different areas to then return to. I would thoroughly recommend both Yellow Moon, and particularly Katie, it was just a great experience.

First time in New York for my kids. Katie was a terrific guide! While she was from the mid-west she clearly is passionate about the city, very knowledgeable and kept us entertained for 5 hours and even though I have been to NY many times I learned all sorts of things.
Jacob was a great driver and brought a local flavor.
Highly recommended!!

We booked a four hour tour in an SUV of the The Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn. Had a great guide, very knowledgeable who made the tour great fun and very worthwhile. Gave us an excellent feel for the boroughs of New York outside of the tourist hot spots of Times Square and Broadway.
One thing to consider when looking to book. The traffic congestion throughout New York is dreadful. We spent a lot of time snarled up in traffic jams. So if you can book a tour on a Sunday when there is a lot less traffic on the road do so, or on a Saturday when the congestion is a little easier.

Regarding the traffic - unfortunately on the day of your tour, we subsequently discovered there had unusually been two major road accidents - one in the Lincoln Tunnel and one off FDR Drive - accordingly, parts of those feeder roads were closed and many of the tributary roads were jammed as drivers tried to find alternative routes. As a result it was unusually congested for much of the city. I am glad you still had a great tour and thank you for your generous feedback and review.

We had a wonderful experience with yellow moon tours. Our guide Tom, was very engaging and informative and went out of his way to make sure we got to our next destination after our tour ended. It was a great way to see New York with a young family in winter! Would definitely recommend.

We were able to customize a day tour to Brooklynn with Yellow moon tours. We were picked up at our hotel by Jose the guide and Ralph the driver. The car was clean and Ralph was an expert driver. Was a much better ride than other services. Jose provided so much information on Brooklynn and made sure we got to see the best parts as well as knew the best spots to get photos. Jose even found spots that might not be popular for some but were interests of ours. Not only was I able to finally experience the rainbow bagel but thanks to Jose I found that upside down pizza is my new favourite.

We only had one day in New York City and had a list of very specific things that we wanted to see. They customized the tour for us, arrived on time, were very knowledgeable about this city and had a separate driver so that the tour guide was focused on us.
We LOVED Katie the tour guide... she was great with adults and kids. I highly recommend her and Yellow Moon!

We had an overnight layover in New York en route to a summer vacation. It allowed us 5 hours for a city tour. Yellow Moon did an amazing job of showing us a few of the city highlights. Given the short duration of our stay, we didn't get to see a fraction of what NYC has to offer, but we had an amazing 5 hours and definitely saw some highlights (Coney Island for Hot Dogs, Statue of Liberty, Drive over the Brooklyn Bridge, Ground Zero, Broadway, Time Square, Financial District, Grand Central Station), and all along the way to guide gave us great history, neat tidbits, and a constant overview of what we were seeing. Worth every penny and we would recommend Yellow Moon to anyone going to NYC!

Took my wife and two boys, 7 and 11, on a half day yellow moon tour or NYC.
Our guide Tom had an encyclopedic knowledge of the city and made the date fun for the kids and interesting for the adults.
The car was comfortable and spacious.
I have been to NYC many times but learnt more in 4 hours then I did on all the previous visits Pu together.
Could not recommend it more.

How does one get a hold of this company? I filled out their contact form and called and left a message and nobody has returned my call. This was over a week ago.
